The Sr. Distribution Manager is responsible for managing the transportation and the storage of raw materials, packaging, ingredients, and finished goods within my clients supply chain.
Serves as the leader of the Logistics Team (includes company drivers, mechanics, administrative staff, managers and third party transportation companies,) and the Warehouse Team (includes warehouse operators, administrative staff, managers and third party warehouse companies).

Your role:
Responsible for all aspects of the logistics function and all aspects of the warehousing function and leads operational improvements and drives results through the logistics and warehousing teams.
Leads and supports cross-functional supply chain initiatives and utilizes continuous improvement methodologies with team to improve performance across safety, service, quality and cost.
Able to manage department budgets and communicate effectively with corporate finance team as needed.
A champion for metrics and scorecards to identify trends, indicate progress against specific initiatives and highlight areas of focus.
Is a functional area expert in internal transportation, third party freight services, warehouse operations, inventory management and third party warehouse services.
Ensures up-stream and down-stream customers are supported and are informed of changes that might affect them.
Demonstrates senior level competencies and coaches junior managers development in their opportunity areas.
Communicates clearly and proactively to all levels of the organization and to customers, vendors and partners.
Manages the people side of the business in a manner that promotes involvement, promotes accountability, expects maximum output, expects quality results, recognizes individual contributions and celebrates wins.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and general public.
Communicates effectively.
Demonstrates excellent attention to detail.
Utilizes a computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ERP systems (NAV preferred).
Acts as a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company.
Works under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrates excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.

*Bachelorís degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering, or related field is required.
*10 years of Supply Chain leadership experience is required.
*3 years of food manufacturing experience is required.
