Under general supervision, the Human Resources Generalist provides routine and wide complex administrative duties and support to Human Resources Department in the following functional areas: employee relations, FMLA and leave administration, background checks, ADA-related concerns, and recordkeeping/filing.

Job Duties:
• Assists in handling employee relations issues.

• Assists communities with FMLA and other leave administration.

• Offers guidance to communities on ADA-related matters.

• Advises and educates communities on the interpretation and implementation of Company’s policies and procedures.

• Handles background checks and responsible for Sterling account maintenance.

• Maintains employment agreement files (electronic and hard copy).

• Responsible for completion and accuracy of Employee Relations files.

• Handles employee relations issue calls from employees.

• Maintains and updates Executive Director monthly turnover report.

• Assist with gathering data and submission of annual EEO-1 Survey.

• Ensure communities remain compliant with Capital Senior Living, Inc. programs and policies (i.e random drug testing, annual trainings, etc.).

• Other duties/projects as assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is required.

• Minimum of two years of previous experience in Human Resources with an emphasis in employee relations, preferably in a healthcare setting.

• Knowledge of state and federal requirements and regulations.

• Candidate should have good working knowledge of FMLA and ADA.

• Current SPHR/PHR certification desirable.

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
