Regulatory Affairs Specialist needs Bachelor’s degree; degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology experience

Regulatory Affairs Specialist requires:

Solid understanding of chemical naming conventions
General awareness of reg./safety role in consumer products companies • Familiarity with handling confidential data
Overall computer literacy
Knowledge of the following software programs SAP, specifically PLM
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word and SharePoint with advanced knowledge and expertise in Excel Skills
Works independently and monitors own work to ensure quality
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with time constrains
Strong problem solver and logical thinker
Regulatory Affairs Specialist duties:

Prepare compositional formulas and exposure tables
Collect, appropriately sort and format formula compositions for toxicological assessment o Work with regulatory affairs specialists to identify and resolve discrepancies o Format exposure assessment tables based on exposure models from toxicologist
Safety assessment support o Convert assessments into templates by product type o Verify accuracy of ingredient disclosures with those on-pack o Collaborate with marketing to input labels, current language and product information into assessments
Documentation
Update and maintain toxicological assessment inventory
Prepare, refine and sort substance values, citing reference sources from toxicologist o Identify and communicate discrepancies
Support Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and ingredient disclosure
Collect and review raw material and formula data o Look up raw material information in SAP for formula compositions
Review and check formula data, communicate discrepancies and facilitate information gathering
Work with regulatory affairs specialist to finalize and publish documents o Document and maintain retailer SDS and ingredient disclosures
Project tracking and documentation
Prepare, sort and monitor documentation for raw materials and formulas
