Finance Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (Accountant); Hill Phoenix, Inc.; Conyers, GA

Analyze Dover Food Retail (DFR) financial information. Prepare financial reports to determine and maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial activities within the supply chain, manufacturing, and quality organization. Develop an inventory & cost accounting environment to allow for enhanced decision-making on all product lines manufactured within assigned DFR division. Develop an understanding of the cost structure and accounting processes to recognize financial impact of decisions. Develop, maintain, and analyze reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Partner with operations management to reduce overhead costs, increase efficiencies and drive financial performance. Advise management about issues such as resource utilization and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Communicate with plant managers and controllers on current status of operational KPIs and associate financial results. Create and improve financial models. Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Train and instruct analyst to develop, maintain and reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs; review the reports to ensure accuracy and reliability; drive decisions based on those reports. Create tools to measure, report and analyze opportunities and actions to drive cost improvements. Influence division controller roles toward aligned financial reporting. Support financial forecasting process across all DFR US operations.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and 4 years of experience in the practical application of cost accounting methodologies; or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field followed by 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the practical application of cost accounting methodologies.

Must have 2 years of experience supervising the preparation of financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAS and U.S. GAAP or IFRS.

Must have at least 2 years of experience in any of the following: Power Query, Power Bi, Access, and SQL.

Must have 4 years of experience using accounting software, including Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting, Invoicing, and General Ledger Applications.

Must have active CPA certification or foreign equivalent, ACCA, or CMA certification.

Up to 20% domestic travel required.
