Director of Pharmacy Position in Maryland
The Director works M-F 8-5
Job Details: - Doctorate Degree preferred (PharmD)
- Licensed in the State of MD
- 3-5 years experience is required
Our ideal candidate has experience as a Director of Pharmacy in a hospital.
As Director of Pharmacy we'll rely on you to oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling and supervising activities in the hospital pharmacy according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and State and Federal laws.
You'll recommend innovations in the practice and function of the hospital pharmacy to Administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs.
You'll need the ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns in addition to the ability to work cooperatively with other members of hospital and pharmacy staff.
Minimum Requirements:
Shall have a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or a Masters Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
Current licensure from the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy.
Shall have a minimum of three years in hospital pharmacy practice, including at least (2) years in a position of Director/Associate, Director/Assistant Director.
Able to speak, write and comprehend English.
Shall be familiar with all phases of hospital pharmacy.
A current member of The American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists.
Demonstrated capability in establishing and maintaining effective, co-operative working relationships with Medical, Nursing and Professional staff.
Demonstrated capability in efficiently and effectively managing human, material, capital and financial resources.
Must have good eye-hand co-ordination and manual dexterity.
