Account Manager

Our client a worlwide leader in design, development, and manufacturing of innovative dispensing closures, caps, lids, and packaging components is seeking an Account Manager to join their team.

Summary:

Responsible for sales in a specified region or major geographical area. This is also known as “field sales." Involves travel to service existing accounts and generate new business. This position requires a broad knowledge of the organization’s services, precuts and marketing techniques.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains contact with all accounts within jurisdiction
Corresponds with and keeps informed of the assigned Customer Service back-up

Prepares quarterly regional sales, reflecting customer activities and results

Calls on prospective customers

Keeps up to date on new products and other general information of interest to customers

Secures and renews orders, arranges delivery dates and other incidentals to actual selling

Refers complaints to the assigned Customer Service back-up or to Technical Sales Representative

Checks on competitive activities and relays information to management’s attention

Maintains sales information systems (i.e., Mail File, Customer Profiles, Proposals, Service Calls) with the aid of Customer Service

Advises management of any breakdown in communications, loss of sales or customer complaints

Accountable for company-issued equipment and vehicles


Requirements


5 years minimum sales experience, specifically in the Plastic Closure Industry
100 % Travel, East Coast Territory: New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Connecticut
Multi National Accounts / Prospects and New Accounts
