Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership in organizing scopes of work and drawing package requirements for building permit packages.
* Perform checking and interpretation of Tennessee Codes for building construction and Engineered Equipment for compliance.
* Act in a Lead capacity to manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets including fast track projects.
* Prepare technical bid packages for engineered equipment.
* Consult with design team to interpret codes and regulations for mechanical, piping, and architectural issues.
Qualifications/Skills
Skilled equipment engineer responsible for design and specification of skid mounted equipment packages. Experience with Packaged equipment such as hot water boiler systems for governing agency / code listings such as UL requirements.
* Established experience with TN regulatory bodies and permitting for all aspects of new facility construction involving process equipment (electric heat exchanger,air and shell and tube heat exchangers, pumps, tank farms, towers and columns) in the chemical industry, specialized HVAC and ventilation, plumbing, fireprotection, clean room, and offices.
* Fabrication of vessels for entry into State of Tennessee and on-site erection knowledge.
* Commerial HVAC engineers need not apply.
Education:
BSME minimum, MSME preferred, skilled in ASME BPV code, TEMA, Codeware Compress.
