SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
One contract QA analyst to augment a current team of five. Responsible for the effective development and implementation of programs to ensure that all IT products and services meet company standards and end user requirements. Participates in change control processes when required. Ensures adequate product testing prior to implementation. Administers problem management process. Makes recommendations to IT Management on the development of internal systems and purchase of 3rd party software products. Documents software defects in a clear concise manner.
EDUCATION:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Business or Math or equivalent work experience
JOB EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years experience in the IT field
SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
Strong knowledge of computing systems
Good knowledge of programming and methodologies
Good knowledge of Project Management methodologies
Strong knowledge of change control process
Strong knowledge of testing processes
Strong skills in writing and documentation
Good knowledge of automation tools and methodologies (QTP preferred)
Good knowledge of Oracle HRMS and Financials
Strong knowledge of Web testing methodologies
Good knowledge of SQL (writing queries to validate test results)
KEY DUTIES:
Participates in change management process
Oversees the implementation of new applications on corporate basis
Coordinates efforts with programming staff
Ensures the quality of in-house software products
Reviews 3rd party software products
Documents defects in defect tracking system
Write test plans and test cases
CONTACTS:
Has contact with IT staff, IT management team, functional end users.
SUPERVISION: - Direct
- Receives direct supervision from QA Manager
SUPERVISION: - Indirect
- Receives indirect supervision from IT Management team
