JOB DESCRIPTION
Principal Nuclear Engineer I
Requirements of position:
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering or related Physical Science
- Professional Registration is required
- Minimum 15 years experience in the engineering support of Commercial Nuclear Power Plants
Responsibilities of position:
- Ability to plan, develop, coordinate and direct work on projects or programs, with wide latitude for independent action and decisions
- Current knowledge and experience with NRC Regulations and Industry Codes and Standards
- Demonstrated written and oral communication and presentation skills required
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally, to take field assignments, and to be badged for unescorted access to nuclear power plants
- Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key agencies and officials of other organizations and companies, requiring skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.
