The Village of Maple Park, IL (located 60 miles west of Chicago on IL Route 38 in Kane and DeKalb Counties) is seeking candidates for Chief of Police. This position is a full-time, salaried exempt position and will entail managerial and administrative functions associated with overseeing police service and performing department administrative activities, protecting life and property, and enforcing federal, state and local laws. The Maple Park Police Department currently consists of five (5) part-time officers.

The Chief of Police is an active participant in police work and patrolling and is responsible for management of both day-to-day operation and strategic leadership of the Maple Park Police Department including, but not limited to, traffic control, traffic ordinance enforcement, accident and criminal investigation, crime prevention, law enforcement, special details, and identification for the protection of life and property.
