Our client, a nationally recognized leader and largest hardware supplier and manufacturer of builders’ hardware, commercial hardware and window & door hardware seeks a Controller to provide financial strategy and leadership to the organization. The Controller will be a well-rounded, detailed, hands-on team leader who has successfully managed the overall accounting department and functions including general accounting, profitability analysis, cost accounting, inventory management, import and collections. This self-starter will be responsible for modeling, budgeting, forecasting, planning, financial statements and reporting. The ideal candidate will be a change agent with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence. Other stills required are:
• Minimum ten years accounting and finance leadership accomplishments within a distribution / manufacturing company (with union background)
• Experienced finance and benefits administration and leadership to include development and maintaining outside insurance and banking relationships
• Patience and forward-thinking skills
• Technology savvy individual who has overseen IT including ERP/MRP implementations and is experienced in utilizing systems to implement new processes and procedures that result in operational efficiencies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree, CPA preferred
