Reports To: Manager - Financial Services
Job Function: As the Rate Design Analyst/Accountant - CPA Required, employee will be responsible for the rate development function of the Company.
Nature and Scope: Reporting directly to the Manager - Financial Services, the employee will be responsible for but not limited to:
Developing the rate design function of the Company to ensure market competitive rates and recovery of economic costs to provide service.
Coordinating the preparation of the company capital and operating budget for all five sectors. This includes financial planning, forecasting and analysis of the Company's capacity expansion, capital budgeting and operating plans to ensure the long range competitiveness and financial soundness of the Company.
In absence of the Manager - Financial Services, serving as acting Manager over Treasury and Rate Design within the Financial Services department.
Ensuring that all accounting functions are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and established GASB/FASB standards.
Reviewing monthly financial statements for the monthly Board meeting including balance sheets, improvement and extension reports, income statements, consumption reports, and cost per unit of consumption billed.
Preparing review sheets, both monthly and quarterly, as required by the audit recommendations.
Preparing and submitting the annual EIA-861 Annual Electric Utility Report.
Coordinating the annual revisions to the Financial Services Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) which is approved by the CFO/VP-Financial Services and the CEO.
Representing the Board in various organizations/meetings and provides assistance and advice in financial/accounting matters.
Communicating and interacting with a variety of persons in the performance of the job to include the CEO, the CFO/VP-Financial Services, Manager - Financial Services, and other department heads, subordinates, various agencies, auditors, data processing, financial institutions, etc.
Performing other related duties as required.
Salary: $50,000 to $80,000

Requires:
CPA Required
(Will Consider CPA-Candidates with 2 Parts of Exam)
Degree in Accounting or Finance
MBA or MBA-Candidate Preferred but Not Required
Strong Academic and Work Background
Excellent Computer and Communication Skills
Team Player in Collaborative Workplace
