Position: Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst

Details/Responsibilities

Maintain detailed knowledge of company current applications and processes.
Act as a liaison between the business users and the IT Team with regard to requirements gathering, analysis and documentation.
Analyze business and user needs, document requirements and recommendations.
Facilitate user sessions and group meetings to clarify concepts and confirm group understanding and requirements
Works with IT, external suppliers and business users to develop functional specification documents as well as workflow diagrams and process mappings to clarify details and support the technical development.
Prepare documents and presentations outlining concepts and processes to stakeholders and development partners
Facilitate project deliverables and liaise with IT and business on the development and actualization of the requirement
Review, analyze and recommend changes to processes and procedures to increase business efficiencies. Recommend performance metrics and processes that will assist in measuring ongoing business operations.

Requirements

- 5 – 8 years experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst

- Strong ongoing documentation experience – gathering and documenting requirements for systems related initiatives – FRD’s and BRDs, Process Mapping, Workflow diagrams,

- Experience with full SDLC and other formal methodologies including testing and implementation

- Prior experience in mid to large size business processes automation projects

- 3 - 5 years experience working on mid-sized custom developed applications and applications utilizing an Oracle database

- Proficiency in Microsoft products, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Stable work record with past employers no contractors

Assets

- Experience as a Programmer or Project Manager

- Exposure to SharePoint would be an asset

- Background in publishing, entertainment, music, copyright licensing or infringement
