MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT ENGINEER
Norwalk, Iowa
Duties:
• Engineer will help with the organizing, planning, and scheduling, Layout design, estimation analysis and inspection, selection of equipment, supplies and services.
• Write specification and project scopes. Manage equipment installations.
• Manage vendors, craftsman, and critical path time lines to stay on schedule and on budget.
• Create mechanical engineering drawings that include plan views, elevation views, assembly instructions, detailed maintenance & troubleshooting documentation.
• Write internal orders & requisitions for capital & expense projects. Manage multiple projects at a time.
• Estimate budgeting, manage spare parts strategy and be a strong communicator.
• Work closely with other departments such as maintenance, safety, Industrial and Process Engineering. Prepare presentations and reports about your project status.
Requirements:
• BS/BA Degree in Engineering
• 3-5 years manufacturing experience
• Project experience with production equipment specifications, justifications & installations.
• Experience with production equipment layout, design, selection and inspection.
• Experience working with Maintenance and Process groups troubleshooting equipment.
• Strong computer skills. Leadership skills.
