Duties:
• Responsible for the planning, execution and coordination of chemistry activities for preparation of oligonucleotide clinical candidates and commercial API’s under cGMP.
• Visualize and implement new strategies that lead to improved productivity and guarantee timely delivery of oligonucleotides.
• Lead internal technical teams on customer funded production projects.
• Build relationships with the Oligonucleotide community to become a resource for efficient supply strategies and technologies.
• Validate processes in preparation for commercial production.
• Embody level of oligonucleotide synthesis expertise to lead, as well as participate in training of, associates in these areas.
Requirements:
• Ph.D. with at least 3+ years solid phase oligonucleotide or peptide synthesis experience at a large scale or MS with at least 5+ years of experience.
• Specific strengths in solid phase synthesis, freeze-drying and purification of macromolecules.
• Strong analytical, written and oral communication and documentation skills are essential.
• Experience in process validation is a plus.
• Responsible for the conception, design and performance of experiments to synthesize oligonucleotides critical to API development.
• Record of accomplishments in a cGMP environment.
