Click Here to Apply OnlinePerform duties of a “rehabilitation specialist” in a military clinical outpatient setting under the supervision of the attending physician. These “rehabilitation specialist” duties include: rehabilitation exercise, modalities, patient education, communication responsibilities (between – physician, patient, personnel department, case manager, and yourself), documentation, and base education. Assist support staff with: scheduling, cleaning, filing, and maintenance of the facility.
Individual Requirements:
· Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral Degree
· Board Certification for Athletic Training or Physical Therapy
· Basic Life Support Certification
· Two years experience in an orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation clinic where you consistently treated workers compensation patients
Job Hours:
7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Job Requirements Prior to Start Date:
· Enthusiasm for working with injured members of the United States Air Force and as a team member of the MTF (Medical treatment Facility)
· Full knowledge of and ability to demonstrate courtesy to all individuals you will work with, including military customs (addressing people by rank and name)
· Follow ALL methods for controlling and preventing disease described in the American Public Health Association publication – Control of Communicable Diseases Manual, and in the CDC publication – Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report
· Full Knowledge and implementation of “Universal Precautions”
· Proof of immunization from: Hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and influenza
· Influenza Vaccine (Flu shot)
· Negative TB skin test within 12 months from start date
· Security background check and positive clearance
