The Bristol Bay Borough is hiring 1-2 lateral police officers within the next month. The Bristol Bay Borough Police Department serves the communities of King Salmon, Naknek, and South Naknek, Alaska. The population of 900 spikes to over 10,000 during the summer fishing season to support the Worlds largest commercial Sockeye Salmon fishery.

In addition to police services, the Police Department provides Dispatch that supports our Police Department, Bristol Bay Borough Fire & EMS, Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, and after hours Katmai National Park Rangers. The department operates a State contract jail facility and juvenile detention. To better serve the citizens of the Borough, the department also provides full DMV and Passport services.

The department is seeking a Lateral Police Officer with a minimum of twelve months experience and less than one year break in service from last law enforcement position. Requires successful completion of law enforcement academy (from any State) recognized by the Alaska Police Standards Council.
