Click Here to Apply OnlineThe Engagement Manager (EM) (or the Sr. Engagement Manager - SEM) is responsible for acquiring, managing and enhancing the relationship with Clients and addresses the clients’ learning needs with appropriate services and solutions.
The Engagement Manager is responsible for all client interfaces within the assigned scope of learning services offering. The EM works together with his manager (Sr. EM/Group EM) to build a territory plan and is responsible for pursuits and client management based on the territory plan. Being part of a horizontal service line, the EM will handle 2-3 accounts or a single large account, with an indicative annual book of business of up to $10 million ($15m for SEM). The jobholder has the following key responsibilities within the assigned scope of learning services offering:
• Client relationship management
• Business Development – responsible for building a portfolio of up to $7-10M - driving revenues within the assigned scope of learning services offering by being the owner of the entire Opportunity Management cycle: Prospect-Evaluate-Propose-Close.
• Advice clients on actual projects: this person will be part billable to the core clients and will be the client’s primary relationship anchor for this service line. Responsible for project deliverables as well as ensuring that the client’s business objectives from the engagement are met.
• Taking Go-to-market learning solutions to accounts within the scope of learning services offering -responsible for driving revenues from Go-to-market solutions being sponsored by the business unit.
• Conduct research as well as competitor analysis, as well as conducting client presentations, estimation efforts and proposals and negotiations.
• Client delivery assurance
• Collaborate with the Delivery Manager to address all people or infrastructure related issues that may be affecting the delivery of the project vis-à-vis the specific client.
• Build customized learning solution pitches for the target account and driving the revenues and ensuring delivery of these solutions
• Build a Territory Plan for the scope of learning services offering – with details of the relationships required, the opportunities that have to be chased, and the revenue expected from such opportunities, as well as potential threats and weaknesses that need to be addressed
• Pre-sales proposal support for new business development outside of account scope
• Provide necessary input for building future alliances with relevant product vendors’
• Participate in the building of account specific Account Plans as part of the account team
Must have
• 12+ years relevant experience, with strong sales/relationship management/account management experience
• Experience in either learning, human capital or total talent management consulting is a must have. Also, must have a good understanding of industry specific business issues and drivers. Experience managing large multi-location consulting engagement teams highly desirable
• Industry experience includes, but not limited to: Banking & Capital Markets; Healthcare, Life Sciences and Insurance; Automotive and Aerospace, Media and Entertainment, Retail; CPG; Manufacturing; Semi Conductor; Oil & Gas; Chemicals; Utilities; Telecommunications.
• Track record of interacting and building relationship with CXO level client contacts
• Global Delivery Model experience/ offshoring experience desirable
• Hands-on experience with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor's required. MBA or equivalent preferred.
