The Inpatient Support Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of services for multiple modules within Epic. The primary responsibility is oversight of a team of approximately 23 resources in Palo Alto and India. The role involves 24x7 incident resolution for all of the ambulatory components of Epic along with managing the request queues. Manager is responsible for appropriate staffing and staff management, performance management and overall scheduling. The role is highly visible to the client's senior leadership, along with multiple department Directors and VP's. It involves negotiation for resource allocation, a deep understanding of incident resolution and troubleshooting along with a requirement to be highly professional from both a business acumen and interpersonal perspective. Manager insures the team members' adherence of standard processes, maintenance of quality and performance to service levels and schedule. Manager works collaboratively with the Ambulatory Support Manager to coordinate project schedules, budgets, work request management, resource planning, incident triage and resolution, covering each other in the event of absence, work authorization and managing knowledge transfer. The successful person in this role is highly flexible, an independent thinker, excellent communicator and relationship builder in addition to being a technical troubleshooter. A highly motivated, "can do and here's how" attitude is essential. Manager must be flexible with work hours and be in a position to work off hours as needed or appropriate as this role is managing a key part of an overall 24x7 support operation.

Basic Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in team leadership in a manager/staff relationship

· Minimum of 5 years of experience with the build and support requirements for an Epic implementation

· Bachelor's degree

Preferred Skills:

· Clinical or Health & Life Science experience is preferred

· Proven record of leading teams of 10 - 15 in an application support or clinical (Informatics) type environment is strongly preferred

· Certification in Epic Inpatient is preferred

· Program management or project management experience is preferred

· Proven ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships. The candidate should be at ease with VP and Director level executives and comfortable presenting or discussing issues/concerns or suggestions for improvement.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Must be a flexible and forward thinking team player

· Process oriented style essential

· Problem solver, both tactical and strategic thinker and knows the difference
