Our Security Officers are commissioned as Constables by the State of Delaware and have the same powers as law enforcement officers. You will protect patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare environment, respond to emergency calls for service, enforce state laws and hospital regulations, conduct investigations, make arrests, complete incident reports, testify in court hearings, restrain disorderly and combative subjects, transport involuntary committed psychiatric patients, assist outside law enforcement agencies, and execute active warrants.

Applicants should have formal law enforcement academy training, an associate’s degree in criminal justice or a related field, and one year of experience in law enforcement or public safety; or any other combination of related training, education, and experience.
