The Center for Development and Disability (CDD) in Department of Pediatrics at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide diagnostic evaluations for infants and school-aged children and consultation and teaching for providers and students in the disability field. The CDD serves children throughout the state, occasionally traveling to community clinics to see children and work with families, early intervention providers, and schools. The CDD plays a crucial role in the disability field in New Mexico by providing interdisciplinary training, dissemination of information, applied research, policy development and analysis and clinical services throughout the state and addresses disability issues across the lifespan. Rank is dependent on qualifications and experience. Opportunities are available to participate in program development and for applied research.

Minimum qualifications: Candidates must be either board certified/eligible in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics or board certified/eligible in Pediatrics and have extensive education or experience in working in child development. Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in NM and authorized to work in the US. Candidates must also have work experience with children with special needs and their families, participation on interdisciplinary teams, are available to occasionally travel in state, and knowledge of child development.

Preferred qualifications: Experience with early intervention and school systems, mentoring, and multidisciplinary teaching experience.
