General Job Description:
This individual must function as a technical project leader for the organization with the responsibility of expediting the process flow of jobs through the shop from post order entry to the shipment of the product to the customer. All work must be performed in a timely and cost-effective manner. In this role, the engineer is required to perform complex engineering and/or design tasks that require the development of new and improved techniques and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
·Intermediate level professional
·MUST HAVE Five years or more of professional experience in a manufacturing business environment
·MUST HAVE Fifteen years or more of manufacturing/sheet metal/welding fabrication knowledge
·CNC machining / programming background is a plus
·B.S. Degree in Engineering required; Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial degree
Specific Duties:
1.Responsible for all phases of the quoting process including; developing a Bill of Materials for purchasing to facilitate pricing inquiries, calculating material usage’s, etc.
2.Perform all phases of Project Management duties including cost estimating, manufacturing engineering, and working to ensure quality production and on time shipping of customer orders
3.Create detailed drawings for flat blank layouts using CAD system
4.Monitor actual job cost vs. quoted job cost
5.Drive process improvements to generate cost reduction
6.Help write the process sheets (Travelers) for the jobs
7.Ensure all programs are updated with any modifications from the previous run
8.Design machining, inspection and assembly fixtures
9.Provide technical direction to operators as needed
