The medical center is comprised of six hospital buildings offering multiple clinical specialties including trauma services (Level I Trauma Center), heart, lung, kidney and liver transplantation, left-ventricular assist (LVAD) implantation, Level III NICU, and blood and bone marrow transplantation. The clinicians of the PM&R department are actively involved in the rehabilitation of patients in these clinical specialties as well as more familiar neurological, musculoskeletal disorders, and behavioral health. Currently the hospital has exceptional entry-level and advanced career opportunities for full-time PHYSICAL THERAPIST III - CARDIOPULMONARY SPECIALEST to be involved in inpatient acute care and rehabilitation. The therapist will join a talented multi-disciplinary team of rehab professionals to design and implement an individualized treatment program to help achieve the personal goals of each patient. This position will carry 50% patient load and 50% administrative
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Doctorate, Masters or Bachelors of Science Degree in Physical Therapy
* Current Texas licensure in Physical Therapy
* Desire to be come licensed as a Cardiopulmonary PT or have a current cardiopulmonary license
* Experience is preferred by not required
* Ability to take initiative and work independently
* Superior interpersonal communication skills
* Effective time management, organization and problem solving skills.
* Highly tuned listening skills
