Position Summary:
Provide mechanical equipment engineering support for high volume manufacturing plants production processes.
Individual will be designing and conceptualizing machining equipment for the manufacturing facility about 50% of the time.
Additional responsibilities will include troubleshooting mechanical problems and making improvements for machining and assembly equipment.
Also involved with cost reduction, preventive maintenance programs, documentation and training, equipment upgrades, and project management.
Efforts will also be predicated on a multitude of factors depending on time sensitive issues within the facility.
This person must be excellent at working and communicating as a team member and work well with different departments within the organization.
Must be self-directed and able to assume project ownership with limited supervision.
Primary Responsibilities: Manage mechanical projects (this includes developing project timeline, spending control, resource management, training, documentation and resources with other departments and their requirements.)
Key Requirements:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
4-8 yrs experience designing, developing & modifying production equipment.
Experience with equipment selection, justification and installation.
Experience analyzing malfunctions, improves equipment reliability, and directs maintenance personnel in making corrective changes.
Experience directing and instructing Maintenance Technicians during production equipment installation and troubleshooting.
Experience with 3D design- Unigraphics (preferred), Solidworks, AutoCAD or ProE
Strong project and leadership skills.
