The Chief Underwriting Officer (“CUO”) is to provide the leadership and functional expertise needed to position Plymouth Rock as the market leader in the Northeast United States for growth, products and profitability. In this role, the executive is to build and manage an organization capable of carrying out an ambitious agenda resulting in Plymouth Rock being recognized as the market leader in analytic research, product development and attracting exceptional talent. As underwriting thought leader for the company, the CUO will articulate compelling strategies relevant to the entire Plymouth Rock Group of Companies.

The CUO is responsible for contributing to the growth of Plymouth Rock’s total written premium. This new executive’s mission is to preserve and enhance profitability through the development of sophisticated underwriting and analytic techniques, effective management of residual market obligations, pricing brilliance, competitive analysis and the development of meaningful performance metrics and controls.
 
Reporting to the CUO will be a team of extremely talented senior level analysts and Fellows. In addition to groundbreaking work on behalf of individual operating companies, the members of this team will also be responsible for carrying out a variety of research and analysis projects including those that focus on the next generation of product offerings on behalf of the entire Plymouth Rock enterprise.
