Email this job to yourself or to a friend | Job Match Test | Resume GuideThe Vice President of Supply Chain is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategies in the areas of Global Sourcing, Inventory Management, Quality Assurance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Logistics, Customs Compliance and International Buying Offices to ensure that they are closely and continuously linked to the business strategy and customer needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
·Lead the supply chain management team through the complex merchandising and business strategies to achieve the organizational objectives.
·Forge global strategic alliances for supply chain integration; develop and tailor profitable partnerships to meet business requirements.
·Oversee the development of corporate level demand and supply forecasts for all GFSI brands and retail programs to ensure inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand; maintain appropriate safety stock and meet the financial goals.
·Own, manage and enforce all the supply chain processes related to the corporate time and action calendar, to ensure proper and timely execution of product delivery.
·Oversee that superior quality is built into the product; monitor GFSI testing program through our designated testing lab and enforce a cohesive quality standard in our global manufacturing through our international personnel and auditing processes at the factory level.
·Head the Corporate Social Responsibility program by building collaborative partnerships with factories and workers to develop sustainable relationships and global compliance.
·Oversee the transportation and logistics solutions; promote a logistics environment that encourages innovation and change, provides speed and flexibility, while fostering a culture of customs compliance that is highly sensitive to regulatory obligations.
·Direct the international buying offices by providing strategic leadership.
·Serve as member of Senior Management Team.
·To manage, coach/train, develop and evaluate performance for the individual career growth of supply chain directors and managers.
·Develop functional objectives and budgets with directors and managers.
·Monitor all supply chain reports to ensure timely updates and input accuracy
·Establish supply chain related metrics and measurement methods.

Education/Experience:
·10 years progressive sourcing and supply chain management responsibility, preferably in the apparel industry.
·Proven leadership in sourcing and supply chain management techniques; ability to translate merchandising objectives into supply chain strategies and functional plans.
·Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse groups in a value based environment. Develop and coach to maintain a cooperative working environment.
·Strong communication skills. Be clear, concise and direct.
·College degree required, appropriate advanced degree preferred.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers.
