Click Here to Apply Online• GIS solution architect experience (five-plus [5+] years) complemented with and additional 5+ years of IT management experience. This should include a successful record of developing and delivering IT and business process solutions based on customer requirements.
• Significant experience with large projects involving the implementation of business change and new / enhanced systems, preferably with direct experience at Hydro One or other electric utilities.
• Experience and knowledge with GIS, EAI, including real time and mobile applications.
• Systems and data integration experience specifically as it pertains to Distribution Management Systems, AMI, Outage Management System, GIS and integration design leveraging enterprise-level Service Bus technologies.
• Familiarity with emerging utility technical standards.
• Experience with development of a complex system architecture supporting multiple business processes and data sources.
• Demonstrated experience with architecture development supported by functional modeling; component modeling; business process modeling; technical systems / application architecture; data modeling; and detailed cross systems integration design.
• Experience developing and reviewing business and technical requirements for complex initiatives with the utility industry.
• Demonstrated experience in GIS business analysis, information architecture and information management.
• Excellent understanding of GIS and related utility business process and how GIS can enable these processes.
• Project governance experience: working with a PMO, reviewing project processes to ensure they meet internal compliance requirements.
• Ability to co-ordinate with stakeholders to create consensus (or buy-in where consensus cannot be reached) on requirements translating into business applications.
• Experience preferred with ESRI and MapInfo formats.
• Business Process Development skills.
• Solid organizational skills – ability to coordinate many tasks simultaneously.
• Comfort and competence presenting in front of large groups if required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills and teambuilding.
