The Waterford at Pantego is a beautiful Independent Living Retirement Community conveniently located in Pantego, TX.

We have an immediate opening for a dynamic individual to join our dietary team as the Dining Room Manager (DRM).


The DRM will supervise the operation of the dining room including maintaining cleanliness, safety and general maintenance. This position will also be responsible for training and overseeing serving staff. The DRM will work closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure resident satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Ensure all tables are properly set for each meal. Table set- up includes fresh flowers, condiments, and clean tablecloths, etc.
2) Ensure dining room is cleaned immediately following each meal.
3) Ensures cleanliness and readiness of Private Dining Room and Main Dining Room.
4) Ensure regular carpet cleaning.
5) Set salad bar.
6) Monitor salad bar for cleanliness and stocking.
7) Ensures linen control.
8) Assign sections to servers.
9) Ensure servers are dressed appropriately.
10) Hires and trains new servers.
11) Train new servers.
12) Schedules servers.
13) Ensure all residents are receiving good service during meals.
14) Hold pre-meal meetings to ensure proper preparation has taken place.
15) Assist with serving and bussing tables.
16) Ensures all side work is completed.
17) Serves when necessary.
18) Set-up special events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Experience as a server.
2) Experience in management.
3) Ability to resolve conflicts with staff and residents.
4) Functional literacy in English.
5) Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, carry, reach bend, finger, grasp, and feel.
