THE OPPORTUNITY

The SVP of Energy Engineering is a position that will be spearheading Associated Renewable’s engineering activities and expansion throughout North America. The SVP of Energy Engineering will be managing multiple directors of engineering located in various U.S territories and states. The position is a partner level position sitting at the executive level offering a large equity stake in the corporation.

ABOUT THE JOB
=============
Associated Renewable is seeking an experienced and motivated SVP of Energy Engineering to join the firm at the executive, management and possibly board level.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
==================
• Managing & directing remote office engineering management teams.

• Provide guidance and support to U.S engineering team that are direct reports.

• Provide internal and external technical expertise

• Build, manage and mentor a team of junior engineers and technical specialists

• Identify potential opportunities for gained efficiencies through redesign of building mechanical & electrical systems

• Design Renewable Energy generation projects

• Perform level II & level III energy audits to identify energy conservation measures (ECM)

• Work on energy efficiency projects for large industrial and global clients.

• Identify and clarify the potential energy needs of clients, including active participation in business development meetings

• Advise private-sector clients on policies and practices to reduce carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions

• Estimate energy and cost savings for ECM participation using energy modeling software, engineering calculations, and/or spreadsheet analysis

• Development & creation of energy master plans

• Develop design concepts to support the detailed design of infrastructure projects to support energy solutions

• Perform energy modeling of facilities and systems to further evaluate ECMs and resource efficiency utilization

• Meet with both technical and non-technical clients. Lead discussions regarding energy management planning, energy efficiency, or sustainable design solutions in whole building and individual building system (mechanical, electrical, controls) context.

REQUIREMENTS:
==============
• 10+ years’ experience in a senior energy engineering role with management experience.

• Doctorate in Engineering preferred but not required

• Professional Engineer License (P.E) is a Plus

• CEM – Certified Energy Manager

• CEA – Certified Energy Auditor
