The Account Director builds great relationships with prospects and clients, putting solutions in place to enable our partners to achieve their business and student recruitment goals cost effectively through a high quality and highly valued service that contributes to high client satisfaction, client retention and client growth.

The Account Director is the education and student sector expert, providing strategic consultancy, informing partners of sector changes that will impact their marketing and recruitment efforts and advising on solutions.

Why the job exists:

The Account Director provides strategic marketing advice and actionable market insight throughout the relationship lifecycle in pursuit of better outcomes for clients in line with their business goals and recruitment targets.

The Account Director works closely with our marketing team to produce content, networking at events and presenting Net Natives insights and case studies via webinar, events and conferences. The Account Director also wins new business by nurturing relationships with target partners and supporting bids and tenders.

The Account Director establishes the foundation of a positive and constructive relationship by delivering a thorough onboarding process; understanding the client, their goals, targets and challenges and provides effective solutions; managing business reviews, providing sector insight and actionable marketing advice; building relationships and creating opportunities outside of the core contract requirements and delivering growth outside of contracted services and spend against targets.

As an Account Director you would be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial aspects of your assigned accounts. You will ensure timely and accurate invoicing and follow up on accounts receivable to maintain a healthy cash flow. Account Directors work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Successfully onboard new clients, ensuring client capabilities, strategies and objectives are understood by the broader account team, expectations are aligned to service levels, educate clients on agency services, sector trends, and identify opportunities to increase revenue
  • Ensuring that clients renew their contracts.Lead on bi-weekly reporting calls with strategic clients and key stakeholders within HE institutions
  • Broaden and deepen client relationships across the organization to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Collaborate with clients on the development of briefs for potential marketing campaigns
  • Create, implement and maintain client development plans to identify new opportunities, increase satisfaction and profitability
  • Strategic point of contact on a client, covering topics such as Contract KPIs, Service Level Agreements, Onboarding, Business Reviews, and Sector Insights / Competitor Benchmarking.
  • Ensuring that Service Level Agreements are being met with clients, and managing expectations based on certain deliverables
  • Lead in crisis management during unexpected internal and external scenarios.
  • Work with the marketing team to create and present Net Natives content at regional events/webinars to clients and prospects
  • Build and nurture relationships with target prospective clients
  • Support with proposals, bids and tenders by leading kick-offs, gathering insight and bid writing
  • Work with the Account Team to increase renewal rates
  • Work with the finance team to support on client commercial queries
  • Support wider teams with knowledge sharing, new business development, pitches and presentations, etc.
