This executive will serve as a key member of the DailyCandy senior management team responsible for long-range planning and setting the strategic direction of the organization, as well as managing the day-to-day financial activities and operational issues. The successful candidate will serve as a thought partner to the CEO and COO and will have significant impact in enhancing the overall growth and profitability of the business.  
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not be limited to, the following:
· Work with the CEO and the senior management team to develop and implement financial strategies, objectives and business plans, including performance targets, policies and specific programs to achieve the Company’s overall objectives. · Participate in the decision making process for all significant strategic initiatives and for current and future business opportunities.  Actively identify and research new and alternative options to grow the business.  Study long-range economic trends, project company prospects for future growth in overall sales and market share, opportunities for acquisitions or expansion into new product areas. Create business plans and strategies for such new expansion. · Develop and maximize information provided through database analysis and business analytics for business and growth decisions. · Provide regular, clear and concise presentations on every aspect of the company’s financial management, analysis of the budget as measured against the plan and objectives to the senior team and to CIM/Fandango.  · Collaborating with the senior team, identify significant success/problem indicators and determine which metrics should be monitored and measured and implement plans to improve them.   · Manage the company’s short and long-term financial performance by developing accurate forecasts and projections, monitoring variances to plans and developing action plans to address issues. · Initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position; review and provide oversight to accounts receivable, capital projects, and purchasing; help manage expenses. · Provide administrative guidance and counsel to the senior management team to foster and facilitate cost control, revenue growth and organizational value; identify and achieve opportunities to reduce or eliminate costs and to create efficiencies.  · Proactively establish and supervise the maintenance of internal accounting controls to ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial statements and reporting; establish, implement and enforce financial and reporting compliance standards. · Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the business. · Ensure that appropriate technical and functional bench strength is developed in the finance team; provide leadership and guidance to the finance team; maintain a high level of motivation, entrepreneurial spirit and energy, as well as high morale. · Undertake special projects and/or general management assignments as requested.
DailyCandy is looking for an experienced leader and financial executive who is operationally-focused with significant years of relevant financial management experience, including an established record of success in increasingly responsible positions as a senior financial executive in a media, entertainment, direct marketing, business-to-consumer Internet concern, or a company similar to DailyCandy.  An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards, an appropriate professional image and a team player.  A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, and good judgment. An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor.
· Masters degree in Business (MBA) or equivalent; or ten to fifteen years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Ability to operate both as a senior finance executive and partner to the COO and CEO, while also being willing to “roll-up your sleeves” to get the job done as is typical in a small organization. · Experience working in a high-growth company, · A track record of success enhancing processes and systems to keep pace with growth. · Experience working in an online advertising supported business. · Demonstrated experience analyzing online metrics and using this analysis to improve the op
