Mechanical Designer


Description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare 3D and 2D production and detail drawings including Bills of Materials
- Design new and revise current products
- Knowledge of fundamental Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing
- Understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Checking drawings created by other drafters
- Basic level engineering calculations including volume, center of the gravity
- Creating general sketches and 3D models for proposals
- Perform other related duties as prescribed by Manager.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Associates degree or higher in a technical field
- 3 years of experience in mechanical design
- Experienced in SolidWorks
- PDM Workgroup file administrator a plus,
- Proficiency with AutoCad is desired
- Excellent technical communication skills including proficiency in MS Office suite
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
