- Check drawing references between drawings;
- Complete wire checks between elementary drawings and wiring diagrams;
- Work with P&C Engineers and P&C Consulting Engineering Designers during the development of construction IFC packages.
- Modify AutoCAD drawings to include current borders and title blocks.
- Manipulate scanned drawings (tif files) onto current borders and NU title blocks.
- Populate title blocks and assign NU drawing numbers for all drawings.
- Migrate drawings into ADEPT and create associated library cards and drawing transmittals. - Candidates to have at least 5 years AutoCAD experience with 2 years working with electrical (P&C) elementaries and wiring diagrams.
- An Associates Degree relating to CAD work would be helpful but not mandatory.
- We are seeking 2 experienced Protection & Control Designers who can be immediately productive with minimal guidance in our Transmission Protection & Controls Engineering department.
- This work will require electrical drafting experience (electrical schematic and wiring diagram drafting).
- Ability to check elementary (schematic) diagrams against standards and written documents.
- Working knowledge of industry accepted drafting standards, symbols, and methods.
- Strong capability and technical depth utilizing AutoCAD 2011 software.
- Experience with drawing tif files, raster editing, and file manipulation/scaling, drawing TABs and levels control.
- Experience with drawing file management software and associated control processes.
- Must be able to work in an environment with shifting schedules and priorities.
- AutoCAD 2011 with Map experience is required.
