Clinical Pharmacist Specialist- Emergency Dept
This unique clinical position with 4 day work week allows the clinical pharmacist specialist to provide a majority of non-dispensing and minor dispensing services to match the Emergency peak patient visits and trauma calls. This position will focus upon the Emergency Dept. medication management and CMS/Quality Indicators. The Pharmacist will cover the ED peak times to assist in throughput, education of nurses and physicians on quality indicators which are related to medications in the management of AMI, CHF, CAP, Stroke, Asthma care and any future initiatives. In addition, this position will focus on Trauma Service and provision of cost-effective, evidence based pharmacotherapy.

Working hours: Four days 10 hours shifts, 12:00 noon – 10:30pm rotating every other weekend.

Requirements:
CA Pharmacist License is active and clean, Pharm.D.
Completion of hospital pharmacy practice (PGY1) residency and 1-2 years additional inpatient clinical experience preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
Ability to work cooperatively with staff and communicate effective both orally and in writing.
Ability to adapt to changes in workload and work schedule
Ability to set priorities, make critical decision and respond quickly to emergency requests.
