Instrument & Electrical Maintenance Engineer Company: ChemicalsLocation: Freeport, TXSalary: $80K - $110KFee: 20%Degree: BSEE best, but BSCHE acceptableDescription The Instrument/ Electrical Maintenance Engineer will provide I/E maintenance support for chemical processing unit or units at the Freeport site. The engineer is responsible for assuring long-term I/E reliability resulting in cost effective and safe operations. The position is responsible for providing instrument and electrical engineering expertise. The I/E Maintenance engineer will ensure proper design, installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of instrument and electrical equipment according to regulatory and company standards. The engineer has primary responsibility for eliminating chronic problems. The I/E Maintenance Engineer will be expected to take a primary role in the planning and execution of turnarounds. The engineer may be required to work as project manager for capital and expense reliability projects. The I/E Maintenance Engineer will review all projects for compatibility with the plants long-term maintenance strategy utilizing best available technology with consideration for minimized equipment life cycle costs. The I/E Maintenance engineer works under the direction of the Technical Engineering Services Manager. QualificationsBS Chemical or Electrical Engineering. The company recognizes Institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. 5+ Years of I/E engineer experience required Strong knowledge of process control Requires general knowledge of instrumentation and controls systems, electrical systems, project execution, and construction and installation techniques. DCS and PLC experience is required. Knowledge of maintenance processes including preventative and predictive programs, Reliability Centered Maintenance, root cause analysis methods, and TPM is a plus. Working knowledge of SAP maintenance system is a plus
