They are looking for a Support Analyst to work in a VERY fast paced environment where there is room to move up within the company and possibly get groomed for a management position down the road.
The Support Analyst will work closely with the integration and operations IT teams, the internet marketing teams, and our web vendors to maximize site availability and reliability across the suite of brands. This position is responsible for understanding the impacts and constraints on the system when various events are introduced to the environment. This role will also lead the investigation and issue resolution strategy when disruptions happen to the production environment. The Support Analyst is member of a larger IT/ E-Commerce team. Our mission is to implement and maintain site features and functionality based on B2C market trends and best practices, to create an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
Essential Functions:
* Act as the primary contact for the managed services
* Provide front-line support to Call Center associates, Net Reps and Internet Producers
* Acts as liaison between various in-house entities and outside vendors for development and maintenance of site
* Monitor HW and SW performance capacity
* Ensure a strong production environment; assist with yearly load testing efforts
* React quickly to production issues or outages
* Partner with the IT infrastructure operations team on all environment to ensure stability and maintenance of up to date releases
* Handle analysis and resolution of break/fix occurrences
* Continuously review site and back-end processing for efficiency
* Understand impacts to site support with the introduction of new functionality
* Understand and document response time when high volume events occur, such as the holidays and promotional events
* Act as the subject matter expert on the operations of our core sites; document standard operating procedures and maintain support knowledge base
* Provide back-end interface analysis and optimization This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience monitoring and supporting web production environments, including:
* Core competencies in Java, HTML, HTTP, UNIX, AS/400
* Strong problem resolution skills
* Experience with eCommerce platforms such as Market Live or Fry
* Experience with packaged order and inventory management systems, such as Commercialware
* Deep understanding of web services, software architectural and design issues
* End-user training and quality assurance experience a plus
* Technical specification development
* Interface analysis
* Must be able to provide 24 x 7 support
