The Northeast US Sr. Facilities & Services manager (F&S Mgr) is “the face of the Real Estate & Facilities organization” to the portfolio of assigned sites where RE&F is responsible for Facilities Services. The F&S Mgr is responsible for all facilities operations, move/add/change project management, and service management activities at the New England Research and Development Center (NERD) in Cambridge, MA (site under development, tracking to 181k sq ft, with capacity for 700 HC).

Major Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the F&S Manager is to effectively utilize Microsofts facilities management policies and practices to successfully deliver facility operations management and project delivery services consistent with agreed-upon service levels and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide RE&F management support, service and expertise to managed facilities.
2. Use knowledge of Microsoft business needs and industry/market trends to contribute recommendations and improve the design and delivery of RE&F services.
3. Engage with the site leader and/or site management team as the RE&F point of contact and accountability for the Las Colinas campus. Partner with the field site-specific management teams to ensure that needs are understood and properly addressed. Establish client relationship rhythm of business for portfolio planning and synchronizing with business needs.
4. Manage ongoing, day-to-day facilities activities to ensure that agreed-upon service levels are met by effectively managing the site's services providers.
5. Ensure that RE&F is in compliance with all statutory and reporting regulations and Microsoft policies and controls. Maintain stringent policies regarding data integrity.

Qualifications
A minimum of 8 years of experience managing corporate facilities in a large corporate environment as either an employee or a vendor with a preference for 10 years experience. Commercial construction management a plus.
BA or BS with a focus on Facilities/Business Management preferred. Facilities Management certification a plus.
Strong relationship skills; able to develop trusted advisor status with client management and finance organizations.
Effectively manage the local RE&F organization and service delivery function.
Analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities.
Strong communications skills (written and verbal).
Ability to operate independently and effectively in an ambiguous environment.
Willingness to travel an average of 20% of the time
