Our FARO GAGE Account Manager is a base salary plus commission position where first year earning average is $65,000 to $80,000USD. This is an excellent technical sales position for an individual who has a technical degree (Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering—BSME—strongly preferred) and has sold into machine shops, automotive, manufacturing or aerospace environments. We are seeking a track record of success in capital or high-tech sales.
The Territory will consist of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. The ideal locations for this position would be Birmingham AL, Tuscaloosa AL or Columbus MS. However since you will be working out of a home office there is some leeway here and for the right person anywhere in the territory is acceptable.
SCOPE: Perform functions to provide on-site demonstrations, generate revenues, and identify additional sales opportunities for the Company’s line of Faro Gage Products and GAGE System and interact with the other Faro specialists to maximize sales of the complete Faro product line.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Generate sales revenues by performing product demonstrations at selected customer sites. Evaluate customer requirements for this purpose; including installation location, mounting requirements, customers’ engineering drawings, CAD data, GD&T and inspection plans. 2. Identify additional sales opportunities outside of traditional channels. 3. Utilize all available resources including sales management, Inside Sales Specialists, -Applications Engineers, marketing and others to advance and close sales. 4. Work as part of the sales team to generate ideas for company sales opportunities, processes and systems. 5. Provide feedback to FARO R&D for product improvement. 6. Act as point of contact and provide technical support to potential customers during the evaluation period.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Various mathematical, graphic, design and database software programs, computer and peripherals, mechanical and computerized measuring devices, and standard office equipment.
Requirements PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional lifting of very light and lightweight materials, some lifting of average or heavyweight materials over 60lbs ,occasional bending, stooping and upper body & arm rotation ,frequent pushing, pulling, sitting, standing and reaching and some climbing. Requirements - BSME, BSAS, BSIE or BSEE is highly preferred. An Associates or equivalent knowledge of engineering and/or metrology may along with relevant sales experience substitute for a degree. - Familiarity and a background in tool or capital equipment sales. - Cold calling skills, high-energy level and the ability solve customer problems is required - Familiarity with all aspects of hand tool measurement (calipers, micrometers and height gages) and scales in the machine shop environment preferred. - Knowledge of CAD is required. - Ability to lift 50 lbs. - Valid driver’s license and legal ability to work in the United States. - CAD Operation Experience is a plus - Technical Sales Experience - Proven Sales Success - Strong Presentation Skill Set.
COMPENSATION AND OTHER: • Salary plus Commission • .First year $65,000 to $80,000USD, second $80,000USD plus. • Complete technical and sales training. • No cap on commission, pay out on shipment of goods.
