Job Purpose:
The ICT support engineer is responsible for assisting the controller in managing the ict services and infrastructure. Delivering first class support to the networked and roaming associates. Acting in a 1rst line support capacity, resolving issues in person, over the phone, or remote. The role requires someone with flexibility, a team player, who can manage their time and prioritize.
Key Responsibilities are: Making certain all ICT systems are in compliance with company standard operating procedures.
Maintenance of the server environment including windows, directories, email system and ms exchange.
Maintenance of network hardware such as firewalls, routers, switches and access points.
Providing first line of support, monitoring of the daily logging system, monitoring of the firewall.
Assisting with preparation of cost/ benefit analysis of ICT expenditures within agreed budgets.
Skills and Experience: Must have previous experience. Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
Previous experience in a IT support role, logging systems and remote support tools. Citrix experience is preferred.
Knowledge of microsoft server and active directory. Working knowledge of VPN's, networking and routing as well as networking topology and PC hardware.
Must be able to handle stressful situations, have a flexible adapting personality to handle such situations. Excellent written and oral skills.
Must be proficient with time management, active listening, detail oriented and a true team player.
Salary is based on experience.
