Job Description QUALIFICATIONS :
*CPA or CPA candidate.
*BS/BA degree in Accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Key member of a Controllership team that supports a $9B Energy Service business with over 300 locations globally. Position will report to the ES Controller and directly support one of the 8 Energy Service P&Ls. Primary responsibilities include:
*Accounting guidance and development of related financial policies.
*Leadership on Sarbanes Oxley documentation requirements, including guidance on process improvement and control remediation.
*Planning and execution of an annual audit plan based on location risk assessment and a detailed understanding of the distributed controllership environment. Assist P&Ls with issue identification and resolution.
*Coordination of audits and reviews with Corporate Audit Staff and KPMG. Manage communication process with P&L leadership and headquarters.
*Account reconciliation training and audits.
*Oversight and monitoring of statutory filing requirements; analysis of Stat to GAAP reconciling items.
*Administration and support of various Controllership initiatives and special projects.
DESIRED :
*Previous experience in developing training material and training delivery.
*Minimum 3+ years in public accounting, controllership or financial auditing.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Motivated self-starter with demonstrated leadership qualities.
*Strong analytical, problem solving and accounting skills.
*Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
*Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.

*Preferred location is Atltanta, GA and Kansas City, MO.
