Description

· Calculate amount of required material and estimate costs

· Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint along with repairing etc.

· Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture

· Mixing and applying paints, varnishes, and sealants for a lasting finish.

· Paint surfaces using spray gun, paint rollers, and apply paint or other materials with brush, sponge, fiberglass etc.

· Erect scaffolding or set up stages to perform painting tasks above ground level

· Recommendations and cost estimates to prospective customers

· Measuring, cutting, and applying wallpaper or fabric to walls

· Other repairs such as: cracks, holes and covering fixtures

· Removing old paint and applying fabric or wallpaper to walls.

· Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean

· Answering any customer complaints and inquiries

· Handling negotiations and receiving client payments

Job Requirements:
· Completion of secondary school is required.

· Post-secondary education and/or minimum 6 months of experience in the field is required.
