QA needed for a long term contract position in Northern New Jersey

-Manual testing with automation experience needed. Experience with automated tool QTP - quick test
pro from Mercury.

-TSF - team server foundation from Microsoft.

-.Net technology experience.

-Healthcare industry will be plus.


•Works with the Development & IT Ops team to establish goals and process improvements to optimize software quality. Creates and implements proactive QA measures to design and develop better software and reactive QA measures to inspect and test the finished product.
•Works closely with the development team through the entire software development lifecycle.
•Design and develop test plans & scripts based on the business / functional requirements. Create and record automated test scripts when and where appropriate. Ensure that functional integration, load/stress and beta test plans are established, reviewed and executed. Continually augment test plans to provide increased coverage of application under test.
•Ensure that all defects are adequately documented (identify, describe, reproduce) and entered into defect tracking tool. Create meaningful defect status reports and work with the Development Team to determine defect priorities, deliverables, and schedules to effect defect resolution.
•Is heavily involved in the Release Management function
•Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS Degree preferred
• 3 years related experience or equivalent
• Demonstrable QA experience as team member in multi-tasked environment
• Experience with automated testing and defect tracking tools
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Experience testing Web-based applications developed with the following technologies is preferred: Windows XP and 2000, MS IIS, MS Visual Basic, Javascript, MS-SQL Server 2000, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Quality Center, ASP, ActiveX, VB Script, Web browsers
• Experience with Mercury Interactive's WinRunner,Quick testpro, Topaz and LoadRunner is desired, but not a requirement.
• This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and an analytic mind-set that can understand business requirements and related analysis
• Experience in the Healthcare industry is a plus
• Proficient on Microsoft office programs and keyboarding
