We have been retained by our client, in their search for a QA Analyst, this is a Full time 6+ month contract role, Located in Albany, NY. Start Date ASAP

Salary range is $25-35/hr Salary is negotiable based on experience. Ideal candidate will be a self starter with a high sense of urgency. This position is for a great company with opportunity for growth and an excellent benefits package.

Mandatory Experience:
We are looking for a creative and dynamic Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team in the role of Release Coordinator. In this position you will work with a talented and dedicated team of professionals to deliver future releases of our world-class loan origination software to our clients.
Essential Functions of the Position:
• Coordinate the activities of Quality Analysts, Configuration Management and Software Developers to ensure software products are released on schedule and with acceptable quality.
• Work cross-functionally with Implementations and client teams to assess, analyze, prioritize and schedule remediation of customer reported issues and defects.
• Communicate to internal stakeholders and management the ongoing status of planned releases, defect remediation, and issue tracking.
• Design and implement system test plans, test cases, test scenarios and procedures for loan origination software products and report on test results.
• Perform functional, system , regression and performance tests.
• Validate testing by creating database queries and viewing the database.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse team, including off-shore partners
• Demonstrated experience testing Web-based applications
• Experience writing database queries using SQL (Microsoft SQL Server preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent problem solving skills
Additional Qualifications:
• Experience writing and executing automated tests (Ruby, WATIR, Nunit a plus)
• Experience testing software in multiple languages for the international marketplace
