JOB TITLE Quality Assurance Analyst (5-Month Contract)

JOB PURPOSE Analyze and test project deliverables throughout the Document Services, MUSIC, ProxyPlus and DataSmart products’ life cycles to ensure that business and technical requirements are met.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
Create test plans and test cases for configuration changes, and programming enhancements
Quickly learn the functionality under test, identify test requirements, and create or obtain test data
Perform regression, parallel, integration, performance, automation and user acceptance testing, and report defects and test results
Work with partners, customers, and internal teams to diagnose and resolve test issues
Develop, test, and document new operational procedures (revise and test established procedures)
Verifies all appropriate testing deliverables are met, including status reports, defect logs, test plans, test cases, bug tracking, release checklists, and post mortem reports
Collaborate with application designers/developers and system solution partners to design and execute test cases
Ensure that developed tests can be leveraged in the future through appropriate stewardship of test models, test data, and test processes
Make operational system procedure recommendations to Management and the Development team
Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the standard software and systems utilized in the business that are within the scope for development changes
Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as necessary
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of training and on the job experience.
Tools: Perforce, Ant, Oracle, PGP, FTP/SFTP, CVS, Unix scripts, and Visual Basic (VBA), Autosys, QuickTest Professional (QTP).
Yrs. of Experience:
Self-motivated, detail oriented, and quick learner with excellent, proven problem solving skills.
Requires understanding and interpretation of requirements and technical documents.
Requires proficiency with Oracle, Unix (Solaris and AIX), SQL, and Windows environments.
Experience in document production and capture technology is an asset (Compuset, Captiva, Kodak, Xerox, and IBM production printers, IBM Infoprint Manager, AFP, and PostScript).
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills are necessary.
Experience creating test plans and cases, scripts using Mercury/HP set of Quality Assurance tools is a must.
