Franchise is looking to hire an R & D Chef who will be based out of Atlanta, Georgia. The successful candidate will identify creative new product ideas for the brand; develop and launch new and improved products to drive incremental sales; insures that new products are correctly targeted to customer expectations, are cost effective and operationally sound. Responsibilities include: Responsible for identifying and demonstrating creative new product ideas to fill the new products pipeline Leads and manages projects to create new products or improve existing products Works with suppliers and distributors to develop high quality, innovative products that are easily replicated at restaurant level Responsible for development of recipes to include ingredient and product specifications for manufacturers Works with cross functional new products team to manage and coordinate product testing including concept tests and taste tests Optimizes food cost, product quality and operational feasibility for all new initiates to enable seamless transition to commercialization team Desired Knowledge & Skills BS degree in Food Science or related field Culinary degree or significant culinary experience required Min. of 5 years R & D experience including in-depth knowledge of product development processes and project management Track record of strong problem solving skills and creativity Must have excellent oral and written skills to include formal presentation experience and the ability to prepare and present development presentations Must have the ability to interface and maintain excellent professional relationships with a variety of audiences to include franchise partners, food vendors/manufacturers and internal teams. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite programs Proficient in the analysis of test data to determine product development tactics Excellent organization skills; ability to prioritize and handle multi task
