Requires a broad based knowledge and use of state of the art industrial control methods and networks, automation and data acquisition techniques, industrial software system platforms and user interfaces, specialized electronic instrumentation and measurement equipment, and a general knowledge of commercial building design, construction, maintenance and mechanical equipment. Must be knowledgeable in: Computer systems and networks; industrial electricity and control logic to include PLC’s; construction document preparation; specification writing and interpretation; construction budgeting and cost control BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (for example, Electrical Eng Technology) Minimum 7-10 years of related experience in an industrial automation environment (Test environment preferred) Demonstrated ability or formal training with NI LabVIEW®, Test Stand® or similar programming software for test automation Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, system drawings, flow charts (system/menu operation and software), and building facilities drawings Demonstrated ability for electrical/electronic installations Hands-on experience using AutoCAD®, Visio®, Pro/E® or other similar CAD and or drawing software tool Experience preparing and writing formal specifications and documentation for obtaining quotations, equipment operation, and training personnel BS degree in Electrical Engineering Minor in business or formal course work in business organization and management from an accredited institution. Experience in industrial electricity and control logic to include PLC’s, electromechanical devices, sensors, and communications devices. Experience using electronic test equipment, hand and power tools. Knowledgeable of the construction budgeting process, cost control and a basic understanding of building codes and the National Electrical Code. | ||
