Job Description

• Confers with Engineers to develop technical repair procedures and component repair bills of material for program components.
• Works with Engineers to specify wear limits and condemning criteria for internal components.
• Works with repair affiliates and/or third party to maintain current work procedures and technical feedback specific to repair program components.
• Works with Engineers to specify repair guidance for component machined parts, castings, and weld fabrications.
• Develops and oversees repair procedures to ensure that components are installed and tested according to repair specifications.
• Works independently and as a team member with affiliate companies to certify repair facilities according to program guidelines.
• Research and analyze component repair feedback and other data to evaluate conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
• Specifies modification of components or drawing based on repair feedback and analysis.
• Drafts technical bulletins and distributes. Maintains technical information in centralized web platform for affiliate access.

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree (BSME/MET) or other relevant engineering degree with two years mechanical experience, or five to six years work experience in remanufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of drafting tools or CAD or drafting equipment and software.
Knowledge of ERP systems as they relate to truck and component Bill Of Materials (BOM) structure.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as hydraulic and electrical schematics, weld procedures, operating and maintenance manuals.
Applied knowledge of repair, rebuild and remanufacturing processes.
Ability to use Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of Pro-E.
Knowledge of safety and HAZMAT regulations.
