Job Description
Travel outside of 50 miles: Rarely
Duties/Tasks
Duties are but not limited to:
· Minimum of 12 job site safety inspections weekly
· Ensure employees are adequately trained on equipment, PPE, proper use of PPE, job site hazard awareness, job site documentation, and Pre-task planning.
· Ensure employees adhere to Contract Specific Safety Plan, Company Safety Plan, 29 CFR 1926, and other OSHA standards.
· Occasionally safety oversite of construction projects, site personnel, and vehicle/equipment.
· Ensure Main office complex meets OSHA safety and storage standards.
· Knowledge in computer use and Windows/Microsoft based software systems.
Minimum Requirements.
· Safety Officer shall ensure compliance and implementation of requirements in the contract specific safety plan and may or may not be the competent person as prescribed by 29 CFR 1926.
· Anticipated hazards, training, and experience that meet the following minimum requirements
· Two-year degree with course work in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, environmental engineering, or related field.
· Two years of documented experience in safety inspection and coordination.
· Current OSHA 500 Construction Industry
· Shall be knowledgeable in the following:
o Principles and practices of the industry and construction site safety
o Safety and occupational health laws and procedures
o Methods of assessing safety hazards and controls
o Hazardous material storage and transfer procedures
o Emergency preparedness activities
· Must be able to pass a federal background check
· Must be able to receive and maintain a DOE “Q” Clearance

Salary: $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 /year
