JOB PURPOSE



The individual employed in this position must be able to fulfill all the requirements of this position, including requirements related to the company’s Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System Policies and procedures. Under direction, performs tasks related to the receiving of WIP and purchased goods, as well as shipping of manufactured goods in accordance with established policies, practices and procedures.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ensure that manufactured product is processed into the designated location.

  • Organize all customer shipments per work instructions.

  • Maintain organization and accuracy of finished goods inventory.

  • Assist in the creation and compilation of the Certificate of Conformance

  • Assist in generating a Packing slip and Invoice for each shipment.

  • Assist in calling for freight pickups

  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.

  • Ensure accuracy of received material against packing slips.

  • Ensure accurate and timely receipt of delivered goods.

  • Compile proper paperwork and deliver it to accounting.

  • Deliver all received goods to the appropriate department(s).

  • Use of fork lift and hand truck to safely transport product.

  • Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.

  • Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department supervisor

  • Follow designated safety rules and regulations.

  • Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as required or directed by the Department Supervisor


REQUIRED COMPETENCIES


  • Attention to detail.

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to use UPS World Ship software and FedEx Ship Manager

  • Ability to operate a fork lift

  • Basic computer skills


EXPERIENCE


  • 1 year


EDUCATION


  • High School Diploma


OTHER INFORMATION


  • Work performed in a variety of environments including indoors and outdoors.

  • Frequent mental and visual attention required

  • Lifting to 50# up to 66% of the time

  • Use of PPE per JHA

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

  • Must adhere to Company Code of Conduct and Core Values
