UI Designer Position Description
A privately funded company, kannuu’s look-up technology enables fast and convenient content discovery on any device without the need of a keypad or keyboard. kannuu (www.kannuu.com) is now in the process of working with customers to implement solutions. Dedicated to providing a dramatic leap in innovation and differentiation for customers’ current products as well as a roadmap of continuing support, development and innovation; the kannuu team is strongly committed to the highest levels of innovation and dependability.
kannuu is currently seeking a full-time creative UI Designer to join our growing team. We’re looking for someone possessing a strong user interface with usability and graphic design skills, to be responsible for the creation of scalable applications for our customer facing website and our revolutionary technology.

Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience in a design or communication-related field and/or a degree in those respective fields.
• Ability to create user experience flows quickly and generate wireframes and interactive prototypes for review.
• Familiarity with the collaboration process of TPMs, Software Engineers, and Web developers in order to create new web applications or revise existing pieces of a toolset.
• Strong portfolio showing relevant work.
• Team player mentality with respect for ideas from partners, business stakeholders, and technical experts.
• Ability to perform accessibility assessments of web-based products and propose solutions for identified issues.
• Excellent skills working within existing templates or creating new templates that can be maintained by others.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Expertise with CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, and Web 2.0 concepts and methods.
• Strong knowledge of Dreamweaver and Photoshop is required; Fireworks is a plus.
• Strong comprehension of the current ecommerce technologies and a mastery of the principals of Web design, HCI, HTML, and scalable dynamic GUIs.
• Extensive understanding of Illustrator, Flash, Flex and Actionscript.
• Understanding of the Mac OSx Interface Builder is strongly preferred.
• Ability to conduct usability studies and document their results.
• Strong time management skills required; project management experience is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage your work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
